NEW
: Multiple-item profile changes: You can now move multiple items to different profiles or vaults.
Secure item list-view updates:
  • Item icons in the list stack to the right.
  • Share and Emergency Access (EA) indicators have been updated to icons.
  • Pending status is now shown in the bottom-right corner of the item Logo.
    Green
    is fully synced with the cloud, and
    Yellow
    indicates the updates are pending sync.
    Red (NEW)
    indicates the synchronization has failed. Update the item to force it to sync again.
  • Titles are fully visible when screen resolution allows.
  • Multi-select now supports selecting
    All
    ,
    Owned
    ,
    Shared by me
    , and
    Shared with me
    , applying the action to all visible items that match the filter.
Secure item grid-view updates
:
  • Action buttons have been moved to the top-left corner when you select items
  • Icons are now more evenly spaced at the bottom of items.
  • Status indicators appear next to the icons.

  • Added Pending Sync and Passkeys as additional filter views.
IMPROVED
: Search bar behavior updated — Default vs. Global:
  • Default
    : Searches only within the current view and only among visible items, improving overall usability.
  • Global
    : Works like the previous search but now includes updated section grouping and more precise search criteria.
Shares, Emergency Access (EA), and Vaults always behave like the Default search mode, even when Global is enabled.
IMPROVED
: Passkey enhancements:
  • Passkey icon added to the secure item list.
  • New Passkey filter added to the web app.
Vaults
: Various bugs fixed
Updated Caching
: Implemented for faster locking and unlocking. The first load may still take slightly longer, but all subsequent interactions should feel significantly faster.
Mobile browser version
: Multi-select is now disabled, and the Filter button has been removed. Filtering is displayed similarly to the non-mobile view.
Migrations
: Now supports larger companies when migrating from the Legacy version of Password Boss.
New troubleshooting option
: Ability to retrieve user logs on the troubleshooting screen to send to support if requested.
This version contains 2 fixes:
  • Fixes issue causing the Credential Input to popup for some users when the agent is in Audit mode. (This would only happen when the end-user manually entered an incorrect user or password on the UAC while in Audit mode)
  • Fixes issue preventing the agent from applying Rules that have special characters in the properties of a publisher certificate.
We’re happy to announce that the release candidate for the AutoElevate Windows agent
v2.10.24
will begin
rolling out on Tuesday, August 12th
, barring any unforeseen issues.
All agents will begin (Early Access first) to automatically receive the update starting August 12th. This rollout will take several days to make it out to all customers.
The 2.10.24 build contains:
Bug Fixes
  • Fixes Blocker issues causing Windows shell slow-downs & freezes on some machines. (as referenced in this Status page item.
  • Fixes issue causing some publisher certificates to appear as “Not Verified” when they actually were “Verified”.
  • Fixes issue preventing some computers from registering due to unprocessed “Unicode escape sequences” (Chinese characters) in the OS name field.
Refinements
  • On each new Request, alert dialog boxes will now reset to their default sizes, even if the user has resized them.
  • Support for the following languages: Romanian & Slovenian
  • Various Security Improvements

General Availability rollout on Wednesday, April 16th
, barring any unforeseen issues.
All agents will begin to automatically receive the update starting April 16th. This rollout will take several days to make it out to all customers.
Some of the
highlights
of the 2.10.x build are:
  • Fixes issues with the rendering of the "Request Explanation Dialog" when using customizations. Also fixes issue causing it to be "Required" when it should be optional.
  • JIT Admin Fixes & Improvements
  • LastCheckedInAt date/time value reported in registry (HKLM\AutoElevate\AgentStatus). Useful for RMM queries and scripts to check when the last time the agent successfully checked in.
  • Technician Mode Ticketing improvements for ConnectWise Manage integrations.
  • Fixes issues with some dialog boxes getting cutoff due to different resolution/scaling settings
  • Full UTF-8 character support
  • Support for the following languages: Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Latvian, Russian, Icelandic & Finnish

Early Access: Agent v2.10.0

We’re happy to announce that the release candidate for the AutoElevate agent
v2.10.0
is currently in an internal dogfood rollout. We plan to transition to
Early Access rollout on Tuesday, November 5th
, pending any unforeseen issues.
If you’re interested in trying out this new version before it reaches general availability (GA) and are not yet an Early Access member, you can download it directly here.
All agents belonging to Early Access members will automatically receive the update starting November 5th. If you are an Early Access member and prefer not to update your agents at that time, please reach out to support to opt out of the Early Access program.

We are excited to introduce a new security feature (for our
early access
members) that empowers tenant admins to personalize the "
session lifetime
" for the Admin portal and mobile apps. This enhancement offers greater flexibility and control over user sessions and bolsters our platform's security, ensuring a safer environment for all users.
Two new global Settings will be added to your tenant in the "
Admin Portal & Mobile App Authentication
" section, the new default values will be:
  • Admin Portal Session Lifetime:
    24 hours
  • Mobile App Session Lifetime:
    7 days
